| 10 Scholarships of € 7,200 each are available for the inter-University Master Degree in “Emerging Technologies for Construction” |
 | 10 Scholarships of € 7,200 each are available for the inter-University Master Degree in “Emerging
Technologies for Construction” (ETeC), a collaborative effort between the School of Engineering
of the University of Naples Federico II and the Department of Civil, Architectural and
Environmental Engineering of the University of Missouri at Rolla (USA). Deadline for application
is 9th February 2007.
ETeC aims at forming experts in new technologies for construction, with special attention to new
structural materials, retrofit and upgrading of existing constructions (of historical/monumental
interest also), innovative systems of structural response control, new monitoring and diagnostic
technologies, advanced technologies of foundation and excavation engineering, seismic
geotechnical engineering and wind engineering.
All EU and non-EU citizens holding, within the deadline indicated above, a University first-level
degree (Bachelor degree or equivalent) of at least three years duration in one of the following areas,
are eligible to apply:
• Architecture and/or Building Engineering.
• Civil and/or Environmental Engineering.
In addition, applicants must have a good certified knowledge of English. Non-EU citizens need to
have a regular residence permit for Italy.
Courses, offered on a semester basis at both universities, will last 12 months and be given in
English. To obtain the Master of ETeC degree (60 ECTS) awarded by University of Naples
Federico II, at least one semester is to be spent at the USA University, which may also award a
“Certificate” if at least 24 ECTS are gained from courses given by USA faculty members. |
