Master of advanced Studies in architecture of the territory The Accademia di architettura focuses, since its foundation, on the training of a new professional figure: an architect with a specific awareness towards territorial questions having a share in their solutions through the design of Man’s spatial environment. The didactical experience of the first years allows us to offer, today, a postgraduate education with humanistic and scientific subject matters driven to convey a real trans-disciplinary practice around the project. But, does a professional realm, where such a trans-disciplinary exchange takes place, actually exist? Which are the actors and the structures that society must provide with in order to produce a tangible, realistic and complex project of the territory? What professional interactions should be established in order to enable such a project? Where does the professional role of that architect lay? And, more-over, may an improvement of the qualities of space contribute to social progress? The professional Master course of the Accademia will propose answers to such issues through a unique programme of contemporary projects with real commissioners (private and public). In an actual office for territorial management and production, architects, geographers, sociologists, economists, engineers and participants from other related disciplines will set the principles, strategies and design of the projects under the guide of internationally acknowledged professionals.
