| Coursework M.Degree of Architecture |
 | | Category Architecture | | Description: Coursework Master Degrees of Architecture & Landscape Architecture
Aims & objectives
The Master by program-work degrees allow students to explore architectural or landscape architectural issues within both practical and theoretical frameworks. The degrees aim to produce highly capable graduates, keen to enter the discipline of architecture or landscape architecture as productive successful individuals who are creative, insightful and intellectually skilled in their approach to the profession and their practice.
Career & professional relevance
Graduates will have an understanding of both the industry and academia and will have the necessary education and skills to enter their own pursuits in either area at a level higher than the bachelor degree.
The degrees have a project oriented approach to the technical and practical matters of practice within a philosophical and theoretical context.
Postgraduate program-work degrees in architecture and landscape architecture, are designed to give students a qualification that should be fully accredited and professionally recognised within Australia. Accreditation for these master degrees is currently in process.
Graduates have several career options open to them. Most begin practicing, some move on to academia and some seek to apply their education within multi-disciplinary fields such as project management, manufacturing and industrial design, large scale design and environmental design.
Electives & exchange programs
Typically the M.Arch.(Coursework) and M.L.Arch. degrees have no elective structure however the School is eager to support student exchange programs, allowing students in architecture and landscape architecture to study alternative courses in Europe, Asia or North America.
Through the University, the School has exchange agreements with the Universities of Stuttgart, KTH in Sweden, McGill in Montreal Canada, Delft in Holland, Washington State in Seattle, California at Berkeley and USM in Penang, Malaysia.
